They are going to charge me $120 to take off the rear tail light and put on a new one... i have the replacement... i just can't figure out how to take the old one off. The garbage man dinged into it and cracked a hole in the old one.

Ooops, you are talking 1st Gen xB?  If you really have a 2nd Gen xb (xB2) you can go to trdsparks.com and find the installation instructions for the TYC LED tail lights...covers removal and installation.
