Thanks for the warm welcome everyone.  I realized that complaining about driving a stick in traffic to people on the Coasts and in LA when I'm in Kansas probably seems kinda lame.  I liked to race my manual around as well when I had it, but the between the cold weather here and my daily commute, the stick and I weren't getting along anymore.

Hey all! I got her!! She is #885/2500. Got her out of Martinsburg, WV at the Toyota/Scion showroom.

options: dvd players in rear on order
              spoiler
              automatic trans
             


planned options: change gear shift
                            floor mats
                            bumper protection
                            tail lights
                            interior LED lights
                            wheels (eventually)

I saw other posts elsewhere that said that others got all kinds of goodies, hats, keychains, the box with the website and passcode, etc, I didnt get CRAPOLA!! Whats up with that? ah hell, it is West Virginia after all...

woo hoo!  congrats!!!

I sooo wanted the dvd headrests, but the dealer told me that would affect the RS limited material (would now be black), so I didn't get em and really wish I would have.  Looking at portables now.  Much cheaper (ps...I saw on ebay, 2 7.5 inch dvd players in headrests for 375). 

I got the bumper protection....love this.  That gold just pops against the black. 

There is a thread around here by eviljack w/ a link to a site for a guy who does custom shift knobs.  I'm in contact w/ him to get a custom one w/ my RS number on it.  I can't wait!

CRAP! Dealer didnt tell me that the new headrests wouldnt be the same fabric!! UGH! Well, I'll deal. I am looking for about a yard - maybe two of that fabric anyways. I want to make a jacket with sleeves to match the car, or line the jacket, or a miniskirt or something. I'll be digging round the internet looking for it so if I find some, just get more and redo headrests too.

Thanks for the info!

Also, can you send me info on the guy who does the shift knobs, would love to see them?

My dealer was going to be able to get me some fabric, well, actually get it for the guy they use for ICE (he was going to look into redoing some headrests w/ dvd in the RS fabric for me.  It was going to be too much $$ for the headrests, labor and fabric.)

So, the fabric can be gotten. (is that proper English? lol)

Will be back w/ the link to the shifter guy.  Here ya go:

Thanks for the knob info. And GREAT to know the dealer can get the fabric! I will head over there tomorrow morning!

I am going to tell them I want to keep my original headrests though...
