Hi everyone. This is my first post.
I'm currently not an xB owner, but I've been looking at them, and I really like them. I'm totally into the RS models. In fact, (and don't hate me!) I found this forum as a result of searching for info on the xD RS! Yes, ostracize me if you will, but I'm considering the xD as well.
Anyways, I've been trying to gather as much info as possible on the Release Series of each model. Do any of you know where I can find info on the xD RS 2.0? I'd love to know what that color will be, also. (Maybe there's an xD forum?)
Thanks again for letting me join in! I might be an xB owner in the not-too-distant future! (I'm lovin' Scion!)

Most info hasn't been released yet on the 09 RS models.
Also, drive both the xD and xB. They drive pretty different, so it is more than just looks.
I liked the xB much more.
If the gold is "your thing" . . .
Some 08 RS5s are out there for sale still (I think).

Thanks for the post, Jack! I should have been more clear. When I said I've been "looking" at xBs, I meant I've actually test-driven them a couple times. I really like it. And, you're right. It's a different ride than the xD. Actually, the only xD I've driven is the RS1, which I believe has the lowering springs. Nice, tight ride. It's going to be difficult to decide between the xB and the xD. If the RS6 xB really is going to be Absolute Red, I just might have to be all over that!
However, if I find out the RS2 xD is going to be something like a metallic purple... oh boy!

Welcome to the forum!
Also, there is ALWAYS paint shops around that would happily paint an xB whatever colour you want.
If you do, I would recommend some sort of chip resistant covering on the nose. The nature and shape of the xB's front means that chips will happen.
A custom color might be difficult to match at a latter date.

I have thought about a custom paint job, but will that void the warranty on the vehicle? I've read that some mods will void the warranty, but I've not heard/read if painting will do so. And, thanks for the words of advice!

I'd have a VERY difficult time thinking that paint would affect warranty.
Also, you can "save" some on the repaint by getting a base-color that compliments the paint, like a silver or black. That way, you don't necessarily have to paint under the hood and other less accessible, but visible areas.
A bright metallic purple would work VERY well with silver accents, so I (personally) would probably use a silver as a base and (possibly) even include some silver striping or trim (silver roof?) that can be done by just not painting some of the surface purple.
That could look quite cool!

I wonder if this is an indication of something to come.
* Look at the color of the xB *

Man that red looks REALLY good. I love my Super White...but I really love the metallic looking paints....That red would be hot...and would look really good with white AVON lettering LOL rather than the black on my SW LOL

The xB will definatly look good in red thats for sure. You can expect a different style body kit for sure though.
