I just finished up the first tank of gas tonight. Gonna fill up in the morning and then I will do a actual calculation. My computer is saying 23mpg though. Of course I have been a little heavy footed these few days testing out its potential. Also I am having to get used to a whole new shifting style. I now have a car that tach's out at 6500 instead of 5500. Plus it just plain shifts different then the Jetta. So once I get things down pat I think it will get better.

This car is quick though. The other night I got beside a friend in a xB1. Pulled up beside him he started flooring it I kept up with him in fifth, then after a few sec's I dropped it into forth and left him like he was standing still. Didn't shift back to fifth till after hitting 100mph. Yeah I was speeding. I had to get it over 100 at least once.

Hi,

I've had mine for about 1k now.

My first tank full (from dealer so probably not topped off) was 20 mpg
My second was 25.4
third (with my first 100 mile round trip) 27.8
last one 24.5

With mostly city, but driving like an old man (i'm 50 so I can.....LOL) I'm averaging about 25.

These are based on miles/gallons topping off every fillup.  Computer is always about 1-2 higher.

Filled up this week for the second time.  Looks like I actually got 24.5 MPG and the computer says 25.5 .  That's not a bad margin of error really.

Most of the "highway" driving I do is rush hour so you can probably consider this 80% city.  Color me pleased!! Smiley

My computer says I'm getting about 21 mpg every time I fill up... I didn't think I pushed mine that hard...

After my first fill up I mine was 21mpg as stated above. Tonight after topping off I calculated it and its 22mpg. I am a bit dissapointed as I took it nice and easy this second tank around instead of romping on it. However I was talking to my boss the other day and he said part of the problems is that all the gas stations are dumping Ethenol in the gas. So they are diluting the gas but still charging high prices. Ethenol is super cheap but doesn't get the gas mileage of regular gas.

Bet they're not charging any less for that diluted gas are they?   Sad

Right now since its winter (and i'm doing more city driving) I seem to average about 23-25. In spring and summer however I was averaging about 28 or so. My best tank was 32mpg!

my mileage calculator is 1.7 miles over actual mileage - i have checked it several times so i would know my true mileage when looking at the  display...

i am getting 19.6 mpg - 22.5 mpg in all city driving depending on how i am driving [mine is an auto tranny]

I live in northern Utah so it's a little hilly and in mixed city/highway driving, I have been getting 25-27 MPG. I have over 5000 miles on it and it hasn't changed! I love it. And I have to admit, I tend to hot rod it a little, but even then it's 25-27 consistantly. ALOT better than the '06 Ford F150 I traded for it.

I average 28 MPG with my last 10 fill-ups or so.

My last three have been 27, 30, and 32 (all done manually). The 30 and 32 were strictly all highway driving mostly, but it was VERY hilly and surprised it returned that. My gas light CAME ON at 350miles, and when filled up, only took about 12 gallons. My range now says 350 after fillup, its nice! haha

In a few weeks im going to 0W-20 full synth. and see how that improves my mileage even more. Very happy with the numbers Smiley

It seems I average around 26 if I do my normal "routine" of 50/50 60/40 (city/hwy), and about 29-31 if I do a more 40/60 or 20/80.
