Actually I could be and not know it - one of the farmers on my mail route just saw the top and windows coming up his lane over the top of his fence and said he thought a hearse was coming to get him  Roll Eyes  so now out there it is "the mini hearse" go figure! It is fun to drive through the twisties and the hills and the power is exceptional for a small car.

I'm 30 and my wife is 25.  She initially thought the same and didn't want to be caught dead in the "Toaster".  Now it's her daily driver and she loves it.

Neighbor down the street calls it a hearse for midgets, I told not to worry, unless he sees it following him around every where. I'm in the last group, intresting break down. the spirits still willing but the flesh is....consult your doctor if you are experiancing.....

Intrested in seeing your center conole mode. Is it posted and others ?

Well Happy Birthday!   cheers....From my standpoint I think we need another category for 60 +....and within another year 70 +....getting older is not so bad (as long as you have an xB)...and it sure beats the alternative.

Guys, age is just a number and I have no idea how numbers act, so I'll drive that xB, listen to that old school metal, and continue on as if I wasn't in the last category.

When I was dating my wife in late 1979 or early 1980, I pulled up in front of her house in this.
My future father-in-law referred to it as "A Japanese Hearse".
(sorry if I offended any Japanese folks with that, but that's what he said)

:oWow great looking car. I can remember some pretty cool looking mods of the old beatle out in Cal in the late 60's -70's. But they had a small industry of things you could get to change it . One I remember most was the 40's style front hood and grill that made it look like a 40 Ford. That coupled with the panel truck rear would have been really nice ? I saw a VW Beatle 2 seater convertible at a Sarasota car show this Feb. I thought it was custom but its original and few were made. .
I would love to find a grill/hood that was molded to look like a Bentley or Rolls Royce or along those lines

Also as a SSI eligible  coot I enjoy what the youth (yutes) are doing as mods but would like to see some retro mods develop. Keep on trucking-as they say-someone will develop one or a woody look
Roll Eyes I'm getting tired of being stalked by the coppers looking to pull me over because, and I am throughly convinced),  cops consider the xB a car for young drivers and they are profiling. Thats why I put a ARMY Veteran plate holder  on the back with a handicapped plate rather than a hang tag to keep the cops off my back or pulling me over. Once they pull you over they almost always give you a ticket for something. Angry Proably call my cane a weapon. Wink
