Silver works fine in the Carolina heat.  The only lighter color is white.  The other shades used on xBs are much hotter.

Aside: many older trucks in per-a/c days painted roofs silver too keep them cooler.
I don't see silver as a heat-inducing color.  Black and several dark tones are, however.

I just bought my XB 7 days ago what a fun car! Absolutly Red. This color really turns heads. Can't wait to lower it and add some tires and wheels.
