They're $250 listed on the site, but MobileHID is a sponsor on a couple sites where they offer discounts. Clifford just got a sponsor forum on my other site, YourSciontC.com, so I'm waiting to see if he's going to offer anything like that there. I'll let you know if they do Smiley

No, I'm getting the 6000k... more white, hint of blue. I like the 8000k, but because they're more blue, there's more risk of getting pulled over. Plus, there's fewer lumens, which means the usable light output is less. I should also note that HIDs are for "off road" use only if they did not come on the car from the factory.

How much did you pay for them?

i was checking them out today - $250 for the kit...

see link in Eric's post to site...

You mean which color? I liked the 8000k, but went w/ the 6000k because it will be less blue, thus less obvious, but still have a hint of blue...

Here's the chart from their site that shows the colors:

The colors aren't that extreme though...

What you can do is go to Google and do an image search for "6000k hid" or whatever color you're interested in and see pictures of cars in which they're installed...

that looks like a comparison shot - the light on left is brighter than the other [must be the stock light]

nice improvement!!

Lumens is your friend  Smiley

It's generally accepted that 4100K is the most lumens at 3200 lumens.
5000K is around 3000 lumens or so, the higher up the less lumens. Less lumens = less visible light. Also, it starts going up on the color scale and you'll get blue, purple and even violet or pink. Due to the fact that I want as much light as possible I went with 4300K since 4100K wasn't available. Hope this helps.

Here's a good read: http://www.intellexual.net/hid.html

Um probably a stupid question, but considering I don't have my xB yet. What are the stock bulbs? I kinda need to know which kit to buy.
