I want to switch mine to led. Has anyone done this ? I ordered a few sets, first was not bright enough and the second set was a few millimeters too large. Any ideas?

I changed the lights on the xB & Camry at the same time. I'm not 100% satisfied, but it looks 100x better. The xB has a tinted license plate cover, so the light doesn't show very well. I'll be removing that when I replace the black frame w/ a chrome one. The Camry looks a lot better & since the car is white and there's no cover on the plate it looks a lot better. Unfortunately, the lights are a little too focused. They provide enough light, but the beams don't evenly cover the plate. The color is perfect though.

I think I got these LEDs from hid-lights.com, but I also get LEDs from superbrightleds.com and autolumination.com Smiley

Yep!  Lenses are indeed on!

I didn't want super bright ones because I don't feel that my license plate needs to be that illuminated!   lol

I was going to change them but havent as of yet. Not looking forward to messing with getting the cover off to change them.

Those are nice vegan, bright but not to much. I am going to have to check that place out as well for LED's.

www.superbrightleds.com has a gaggle of 194 LED's, too.  May as well check them out, too.  I know Lex's melted in the headlights of his tC, but those are known to melt because they get extremely hot.  Hell, I burnt my finger on a 194 bulb (non LED) that was on for maybe 20seconds.  Sad

Pulling the panel off isn't difficult at all, either.  All I did was stuck a flat head screwdriver in the slot on the passenger side towards the bottom.  I made sure to wrap the screwdriver with some electrical tape so I didn't scratch anything.  Most of the panel clips will more than likely stay in the metal, so just use some needle nose pliers and pull them out.  Be a little on the careful side pulling the clips out.  You don't want to have to go to the dealer to get new ones!  Cheesy

I think I am just going to have to break down and change them. I have just been lazy. I still havent done anything with that superthin LED dome light I got from Oznium, it is till in the package unopened. I got to get to it.... yawn

Well I installed my bulbs from garage1217 and they looked great. Took a drive over to show a friend and one had already failed. I will email garage1217 and see what they say but that is pretty lame so beware.

I noticed that my right side one was out a while ago.  I just kind of hit it a little and it turned back on.   confused

I'm not sure if it's went out again or not.

What side did yours go out on ?

Same side. I was so disappointed. Have not heard from Garage 1217 yet. I think I might swap the bulbs and see if it kills the other one.
