how do i remove the stock radio from my xb, 2 gen so i can add my rca preouts and get to 12v+ for my remote wire

its super easy, i'll try to describe it the best i can with the pics i have, so here it goes...

1.  With both hands grab firmly the black trim around the radio...


2. PULL BACK towards you, on the trim. you should feel it pop out
3. There is another small trim piece that needs to be pulled out, it is located at the bottom of the the radio.
4. There are four 10mm bolts that hold the radio in that need to be removed.
5. Once bolts ar removed the radio should pull right out!!!
       This is the way i did it to install my SIRIUS reciever, it may not be the best way, but it worked...  I hope this helps you, sorry for the bad illustrations...

That's the way to get it out.  Once you do it, you can't stop.  I've done it 3 times in the last 2 weeks.

yeah thanks guys right after i posted that i foung a diagram of step by step in the DIY section and couldnt find this post i made to delete it or say i got it, where is the cheapest new premimum radio place im ordering one tonight so i dont have to splice my wires to add some preouts that may not even work good enough for what i want.

Absolutely the best description I have found.  As a side note I think that www.sparkstoyota.com has the install area for the radio also from Toyota for download.

I am glad someone asked about this.  I ordered the Sirius Sat Radio TOY-SC1 kit from TSS radio.  It should arrive tommorrow.

I will be trying this tommorrow nite....

trust me, this was the easiest stereo i have ever taken out, and installing my SAT KIT was even easier!
