In the DE Scikotics we use a blow torch and a plastic squeegie to debadge our vehicles....
...I think the blowtorch method would take blind faith and enormous cajones.
We're the Scikotics, oh we've got cajones alright. Even more reason to be careful with the blowtorch.

I used the hair dryer. Softened it up and it just kinda rubbed off with little nail work. Then just warmed up the spot again and rubbed the goo off with my finger

Dealer decals and/or plate frames make me mental. They charge every kind of fee they can think of, including (in some cases) advertising fees. If they have a problem with you asking not to put a dealer decal or plate frame on the car, politely mention that it's fine as long as they're willing to pay $39.95 a month in advertising fees.

I am glad they didn't have one of those on my car. Having bought my car from Menlove....ROFL and the experience I had with the dealership I got rid of the plate frames too. I actually drove that stuff back to them and asked if they wanted it back.....LOL They were like you don't want to advertise for us huh, I just started laughing and left.

Glad the sticker came off easily enough for ya.
When I bought my jeep, I asked the salesperson not to put one on there, and he said, "It's your vehicle. You're paying for it. You don't want it, it won't be on there." So they can be nice about it.
Right after I left the dealer, we went to Advanced Auto Parts. I pulled mine off in the parking lot. It had just been applied apparently and was still soft. Took a while to pull each and every DANG letter off independently. Went inside to get some goo gone for the adhesive left-overs.
For future note... Somewhere near the goo gone stuff was a product specifically for removing old decals, bumper stickers and such.

When I got my xB, it was JUST driven down from a dealership in Charlotte, NC and cleaned. It even had THAT dealer's license plate surround, no stickers. While I was doing the paperwork inside, they removed the license plate surround and put on THEIR sticker! I retrieved the plate surround (for future modification-> for the heck of it).
I removed the sticker that afternoon. I don't see any sense in my advertising for them . . . The next day (when I had time), I removed the adhesive residue with Simple Green. No problems. (I used simple Green, as I have been told by the guys I buy Miata stuff from that it is "kind" to paint and I had come lying around.)
I HATE stickers directly on MY car's paint (what you stick on your's doesn't bother me in the least). I have no issues with magnets, but stickers irritate me. (I've had issues in the past with stickers taking up paint . . . I know that it shouldn't be an issue on a new car, but I'm a bit paranoid about it.)
I'm just SO GLAD it wasn't a FRONT TAG that was added! --Esp. if it didn't have one already and it was added in the 5 minutes or less that I was signing paperwork.

They actually put their sticker on it while you were there picking it up??? Maybe they just don't get enough crap about it so they don't realize how tacky that really is....
