they told you they had to put on the caps? I am thinking they got you on that one.  I have bought 3 cars that came with caps including my XB2 I am driving now and I have always had the dealership leave the hubcaps off and never rec'd any problems from them about it.  I also tell them to leave of their stickers and only one wouldn't which I peeled off before I even left the lot and threw it on the ground in front of the sales guys Smiley

They did, but it wasn't a big deal. It was entertaining for my gf to watch me pull the first one off and fall straight back..

I'd like to have seen that salesman's expression when you did that with the sticker  shocked

My dealer did the front and rear plate surrounds with a front plate with thier name on it for the first few weeks. The part I thought was tacky was inside the drivers door they put thier sticker on sideways and crooked. It allways bugs me when the inspection sticker is 3 inches up and over and then the plate sticker is above it. One job I was at required a parking sticker above that. Hell, why not just paint half the windshield. Ok, its alittle ocd but its mine and im picky. The first time I get it inspected I will make sure the sticker is under the tinted edge with only enough of the number showing to make it legal and the other sticker just above it. Then again with the notorious windshield breakage I may be doing it sooner. I have taken a sharpie and put a line from the outside that wipes off so the mechanic can get it where I want it. The sticker on the door frame is next to the official vin badge and could have been neatly but just below it to remind me where to get it serviced. In my case I drove 45 miles across town to buy from a dealer that worked with my credit union ( better rate) and will get service from one 5 miles north or 10 miles south of my house.

Since most states require an inspection sticker I think they should have an opening in the tinted edge to put them in so its out of the sightline. Then again I think some states have you stick it behind the mirror.

Yeah, I have seen does decals from the dealers. Good thing the dealer where I bought my XB2 do not put does. It takes alot of time to remove it, and you have to be careful not to hurt the paint. I had previous experience with removing vinyl decals from the windshield and side mirrors.

Go back to the dealer and tell him you want the damn sticker off.
It's your property and unless he wants to pay you to advertise ( or give you the car for free)
make the dealer do the work.
