FYI: I heard so many mix comments about the Rumion taillights on XB but I never saw a photo on what gap people were talking about or some filler they put in to fill up the gap in between. I finally had them put on today and saw it myself. The Rumion taillights are surely fit but they are little shorter than the XB taillights. And it is kind a sticking out a little too. With that said, it did create about 0.5 inches gap on the bottom between the light and the bumper, some said slight gap, but to me it is more than little. At least you can put your finger in the space. The interesting thing is, if you are standing and look at the taillights, you do not see the gap, you sort of have to see it from the lower level. So I got fool by some photos too.

Another problem I have is when I hit the brake when the lights are on, there are no brake lights. The the brake lights are working when the lights are off. It is nice to have reverse lights on both sides but I think brake lights are more important. I actually have a guy in the electronic store helped me to do this, so I have to ask him tomorrow and see why.

I appreciate if anyone can give me any solutions on the Rumion taillights how to deal with the gap issue besides changing the bumper though. Worst come to worst, I might switch back to the stock taillights.

I hope this info. might be useful to you if you want the Rumion's taillights in the future. Thanks!!!

Ok, I finally took the car back to the tech guy and he figured it out the brake light, so now everything is working fine, and now I have reverse lights on both of my taillights and I am little happier. I am very picky, so now I need to deal with the gap thing for the taillights. Good thing is, you only see the gap more obvious in couple angles, at this point, I have to live with it until I figure out the solution since I spent the money for the lights and the trouble to deal with it. One more thing, the wire harness plug on the Rumion lights also different than the XB, that also need to swap in order to make it work.

Happy Holidays!!!

Yeah, I took detail photos and was planning to post it, then I got problems to post it.

I also get a hold of couple members has the Rumion taillights installed. They both told me that ended up they did not do anything for the gap since no one really noticed it. And after this few weeks have gone by, I feel much better of the lights and did the right thing. IMO, I like the Japanese lights better not to mention that now I have 2 reverse lights (actually, 3 with the bumper  Smiley). The reason I keep the bumper's one working just incase in the future if my Rumion tailights got destroy or something, at least I can just replace back with my stock one without doing any wiring work. Actually having 3 is not bad and it still keep the US XB's character.

I totally understand you want to see the photos like I was before, so I will try again soon.

Thanks gr8scape, I finally can post the picture. The photo above is the Rumion taillights after installed onto XB. You can see the gap in this angle. I will post 2 more photos, one you can barely see the gap and the third one from behind which you won't see the gap at all.

If anyone can come up with the solution how to fill in the gap without replacing the Rumion bumper would be great. Otherwise, I think I can live with it since I love to have the 2 reverse lights after all. Hope it helps.

That gap isn't NEARLY as bad as I had expected!

I might look into these as a "long term" item for my OWN box.

The Rumion taillights look great too bad it wasn't meant to be installed on the xB... With the proper mods, it could really look super.

I officially want these lights! How much did it cost to get wired up for your back up lights? and this might be a stupid question but will it be bad if water gets in the gap?
