So I ordered my OEM Bazooka Sub from shipsound.com.  Just placed the order and I already have it in my hands.....very quick shipping.  Anyhow....opened the box and there are no instructions in there.  I did find a PDF file on the bazooka technical page, but after looking over them I am rethinking the whole self install thing.

I wanted to get some feedback from those that have bought this same sub:http://www.sasbazooka.com/products/mobile/OEM-Products-C12/SCION-S99/VSE-SCI-145L-07---SCION-XB-Vehicle-Specific-Enclosure-P458 and installed it themselves.  How was the install?   is it easier than the instructions make it seem.  It looks like you have to take apart half of the car from the instructions.....did you do this?  Is the drilling hard?

Any feedback you can provide will be very helpful.  It will help me decide whether I want to do it myself for not.

I also ordered the OEM sub from ShipSound--no instructions also. I had it professionally installed by Mickey Shorr (ABC Warehouse) for $75. Best Buy also quoted $75 for the install.

It took them less than two hours. It was worth to me since it probably would've taken me a whole day given my technical ability!

Wow, sounds tougher than i thought it would be. Do a DIY if you decide not to have someone else do it.

I thought about going to Best Buy, but would they install it how they want to install it to limit the number of hours of installation time, or would they do it the right way (drilling to secure box, running wires through the panels vs under the car)?

Just got mine done. Sounds better than I thought.

Cost $175 to install though! argh!

They have to take out the back seat!

I installed mine last summer it took about 2 to 3 hours do it. Not really the hardest of jobs. I had done the XM radio install before so I knew all the parts already to take on and off. In the future if anyone needs help with install I’d be more than happy help them (just PM me or add to this thread).
