I had to bring my 2010 to the dealer a couple of weeks back due to a banging noise by my left front tire.  They diagnosed the problem and it turned out my lower control arm loosened and was banging up against whatever it's bolted to (I know, sorry for the female technical words, good thing I didn't say bolted to the thingy Cheesy)

Has this happened to anyone?  I'm in the process of possibly going thru abritration to get rid of this car, because I've had nothing but issues since I bought it in October.

i haven't heard anything else about the front arms, but i totally understand the whole trouble with the car thing.  a friend of mine had a cursed xb.  hit two deer, a dog, a turkey, and a hawk.  also, the rear bumper ended up with bullet holes in it.  needless to say, he no longer has the car.

Cinz,  I thing the "thingy" is either bolted to the thing-a-ma-jig or the thing-a-ma-bob.  I've heard that sometimes the what-ja-ma-call-it comes loose so keep an eye out for it.

I have never heard of a control arm coming loose.
