The (in my opinion) proper stylistic base/model for an xB2 Woody kit:
http://www.50fordwoodie.com/

Note how the side wood looks, as well as the back.
The closer to THAT look for any kit the better.  I said my piece on the Club xB site on the kit, and those notes have been passed on the "chain of command."

In brief:
The Scion Pro has some good things going for it, but I think it needs certain "improvements," even if they are additional options to the basic kit.  Included in that should be leaving off the front fender part, adding vertical parts to the roof fronts edges, and extending the lighter wood into the c-pillar and window area, so the whole is more integrated into the xB itself rather that just "tacked on."
What I love about the Scion Pro kit is that the light wood part is raised (possibly REAL wood too) and not just a flat vinyl sticker.
I'm wondering how the final kit will look change compared to that pict.  ogerdgonz told me that the pict is just the initial prototype (as I understood him).  If so, substantial alterations MIGHT be possible, for either better or worse (I hope the better).

Pretty much Tartan and I are on the same page as how we feel the woody should look. So listen to the Jack's hehe.

As far as wood on the tailgate. Thats an idivdual preferance. Since some cars had it and some didn't.

Plus if you look at the scionpro kit it has the same coloring as in the photo that tartan posted. The other one is just too dark and pinstripy

Hey guys! Just got off he phone with scionpro, yes there open on saterdays who woulda thunk it? He said they did it up to the fender becasue if you ended it on the door it would rub and or peel off. So I understand that. I agree with you guys I want it to go up more, but the window trim Im doing will be custom made by m with real wood. Cab one of you do a quick paint drawing and show me what you mean about extending it up more? Oh and yes the trim is "3d" but not real wood it does have a 5 year warn. though. The guy at scion pro also said he could maybe alter it but would have to check with his makers first.

I like the back, the prototype car....not so much lol. Oh and he said if I did the kit with all my ideas Ive been tossing around (whitewalls, 5 lug spiders, powder coated steelies, roofrack, wood 60's surfboard) he would put a pic of my car on his webpage Smiley.

Oh and...Im going to be taking of my spolier and getting the ganster body kit sun visor (I call them hats) since some woodys had that, what do you guys think about?

Not sure how the "hat" would look. The removal of the spoiler sounds good, but your gonna have to cover up the holes or plug them somehow. I would agree though that if I was doing a woody I would totally do without the spoiler.

Oh and check these out.

i kinda like TartanJacks idea for the base style and leave the front end open for some graphic design or leave it plain..

and i like the idea of the 'hat' for the front - i think those look good!

they look pretty good!

They are painted steelies.  I'm not sure about the lugs (no enough detail) or the center cap.  The "spider" caps I've seen look more chrome and tall (perpendicular to wheel face).

Here are the completely stock post 09 xB stock steelies, EXACTLY as they are under the plastic hub caps:
Front:

Note the need for a non-flat front cap.  If I (or someone else) can find a "pop-in" type center that fits, I would be ecstatic!

Rear:

Note: the center is completely empty, so whatever fits the front will fit this.

Also, those are the plain, basic lugs from Scion-> nothing extra.  They are already silver on silver lugs.

Here is a more distance shot:

So, for stock steelies, that is our starting point.

Now, for the woody kit . . .
Idea:
i don't see why a flat front piece couldn't be put on the FRONT side of the front door/fender edge (literally on the very trailing edge of the fender).  So, the door cover is dark, while the door seam is the "border" between the light and dark wood.  A natural visual line and no door clearance issues.  the same could be done for the rear doors too.  Then, there would be four (total) vertical light "wood" slats (rear of front fender, rear of front door, rear of rear door and rear of c-pillar/body side of rear hatch seam.

The issue with finding half moons to fit those is that those are to my knowledge 16'' and moons only go to 15''.

Is this what you guys had in mind? This is what Id like to do it I can. Im going to call scion pro tomarrow and ask them about this.

Sorry about the bad drawing, but I hope it gives you a better idea of the look Im going for. It doesnt have a roof rack but Im going to add one.

I like that drawing, WaveRider.
That would resemble the 50 Ford Woody more than any kits I've seen.

The prototype car supposedly has baby moons for it..... at least that is what he tole Steve. As for Scion Pro he is pretty much always open. He prides himself on his customer service.

So . . .
Pass on this discussion.  It might improve the kit even more (or provide additional options and/or variations for the basic kit).

Aside:
So far, the Scion-world reminds me more of the Miata-world than I would have expected!
(That is a compliment.)
