Retro Exterior

As I seem to be among some others that think the xB reminds them of an "old" truck/vehicle, namely something from the 1930s-early 1960s.
So, what exterior modifications do ya'll think enhance that look?
(My intent in this thread is to collect all the exterior "retro-mods" into one location. Of particular personal interest is the "real thing," trucks and cars from the 30s-early 60s, and what WAS done, as well as the "mythic and legendary" mods that coulda-shoulda been done "back in the day." Also, I am intentionally making 2 versions, one exterior and one interior.)

Here is a page devoted to the Divco milk truck:
http://oldcarandtruckpictures.com/Divco/
This is one that, for some reason or another, the xB2 brings to mind. Ours is more boxy fronted, but the lines seem to have some mental connection. A "chopped" Divco (like the Hot Wheels customized "Dairy Delivery") would vaguely resemble the xB2.
Note:
Little to no side or rear trim. All the "trim" is the headlights, badge, and grill.
Also, the grills are either slat or diamond/mesh shaped inlets, both are shaped to fit the body curves. Also, they are often painted within the body color scheme.
The rims are stamped steel, but in different shapes and some look to have stamped "spokes" in them. They are also painted ANY/OR chromed. Some are black, others red, and others made to match/coordinate the body paint scheme.
Many are also black with a trimmed or painted lip!
(Much like some of the "modern" rim trimmed steelies.)

i am not sure what to do to make it retro like you are talking about, but it seems like an interesting idea and would be very unique!

Yeah not sure about similar lines, I do like the two tone white and grean paint job on the first model that they showed. That my look pretty sweet on an xB.

id like to get some big fenders and a running board to make it look like an old hot rod. Then offset the tires.

I would love to see a new car with fenders seperate from the hood area and have a split hinged opening hood. If I coud figure out how to make it work on the xB I would be all over it.

How is the under-surface sheet metal structure shaped?
(Anyone who put on a Rumion nose take shots with the Scion fenders, hood, etc off and before the Rumion ones are installed?)
-I wonder if one could be designed that fit snugly around that core structure, while providing most of the crash-protection of the unmolested xB . . . ?
Looking at pictures, it SHOULD be possible . . .

Same guy that makes the Gangster kit. I could easily see those two items working together into a retro-woody wagon. Don't think it would work with my gold. But black, white, or the burgandy color(sorry forgot name of color). the mount a surfboard to the roof. Or even better if you can find a way to make the rear glass removable you could stick the surfboard out the back window hehe.
