Being a purely cosmetic mod, the cost for the forjworks eyelids are way too high.

Cheaper? Yes. But, it being a purely cosmetic mod, I'd rather my eyelids look more aggressive, like the ones from
forjworks
. The NIA eyelids are wider in back and more narrow in the front, giving it a "huh?" or lazy eye appearance.
Here's a side by side comparison:

How secure does the 3M tape stick onto the body? When you wash your scion.....does the tape not loose its stickiness eventually causing for the the eyelids to fall off either in your hand; or worse case scenario fall off on the road while driving and there is nothing you can do but watch your $ blow away in the wind
I know that this same tape is used when installing a shark fin antenna; but this same ? has made me hesitate on buying that too!

It's the same tape that is already holding all our emblems on the xB now.

Its also is the same tape that the OEM wing is held on to (with two screws as well).

I got them for my 09, love the sleepy eyed look! I did have an issue with one coming loose however and reattached with more 3M body molding tape purchased at Advance Auto. I used more than their prescribed strips to assure a secure bond. Interestingly I wanted to do same to other one, but it is so fast that I didn't want to have to pry around and perhaps damage it. So I will just keep an eye on it and at the first sign of coming loose, give it the same treatment.
To address the cost issue, it must be put in perspective- this had to be R & D'd and it's a very low volume sale as opposed to say the rear spoiler, so you can't "make it up" on volume. Indeed, the fact that is rare (I have seen none in my locale) make it more than worth the price of admission to me. Additionally, remember that this vendor helps to make our site possible- with their advertising.
Thanks to all for the information I have gleaned from the site. PIX to come in the Steelie thread...I'm in.

There are as many opinions about any certain thing as there are members. I'm so glad we can all agree to disagree. I've ordered the NIA eyelids and can't wait. I haven't seen another xB with them at any shows, so they should be unique. Now, I'm waiting for Oznium to do the bumper vent lights and I'll be set.

Does anyone know if having a sports bra on the hood would interfere with the eyelids at all or visa versa? Can I have both with no problems?

Here they are...the NIA eyelids on HTM. They look great. Hubby says he likes that they take away the "bug-eyed" look. I'll be showing the car tonight, so they will be premiered.

I have the shark fin antennae on my xb and I can tell you that the 3m tape on the antennae holds fast!!! I couldnt even budge that thing if I wanted to.... the key to the 3m tape though is to be sure that you have a VERY CLEAN SURFACE when installing. I am sure the same goes for the lids. I actually washed and clay barred the area before installing.

I'd like to see a ride with one NIA lid and one Forjworks lid, just to see if it would make your car look like it was confused haha.
