I’ve been thinking lately I want some vent visors, but first I had some questions that I wanted answered:

1. Do they add a lot of outside wind noise with the windows up or down?

2. What style is better? The ones that use 3M tape, or the ones that snap on?

3. Do they actually do what they are advertised to do? Do they really keep rain out if the window is cracked just enough so that the top edge of the window is still under the lower edge of the visor?

4. Those of you who haven them, are they worth the money you paid for them?

Thanks!

No, they don't add noise, but they make it so you can roll the window down a bit without causing drag.
I have to park in the sun where I work, so I can let the car "breathe" with the windows down just a little bit.
I have the ones that attach with 3M adhesive on the this car, but I'm planning on getting the seamless in-channel ones for the new car.
Yes, they are worth the price and you can get nice ones under $100 if you shop.  There are lots of sites that have them as well as ebay.

Not much difference in noise levels or keeping rainwater out with the seamless vent visors I installed. I just went for the looks. They give the car a more chopped look. Got them off ebay.

Okay thanks for the info. So the seamless ones don't affect the door when it's closed or when you're closing it at all? Maybe I would want those instead of the 3M ones after all. I'm glad they don't add noise too.. If they did, I wouldn't want them. And yes, down here in Texas my car will need to do a lot of breathing this summer. Haha

One more thing: Are the seamless vent visors removable? Could I take them on and off if I felt so inclined to do so?

Thanks for the help!

Keep in mind that the seamless vent visors are installed using 3M tape. The only drawback I encountered was in cleaning my windows. You have to roll the window down a litte to get to clean the top.

In my opinion, I did not like any vent visors until I saw the seamless version.  These would be the ones I would get.  Descendant Racing has them for 89.99  with free shipping.
