So the fast and furious thread got me thinking. One year a local radio station created a car/woman calender. Local's could sign up their ride or their girlfriend/wife to be photographed in a calander they were doing. At the time my ride wasn't photo worthy. I swore that the next year it either would be or I would have a different ride that would be. Well the next year rolled around and they didn't do it, I was so pissed. So I was thinking. Maybe we could do one. There are plenty of custom places that will make high quality calanders. Would anyone on here be interested in both participating and purchasing? Would definatly be willing to take control of this project. Probably make a few more then wanted by members on the site to see if they would sell to anyone else. Let me know.

I've toyed around w/ this idea in the past and it never happened. If we can get it together, and not have to pay a ton of money up front, I'd be for it. Unfortunately, you can't use a service like CafePress because we would need Toyota's permission & they don't give it. A local place probably wouldn't have a problem with it, but they'd make you buy in bulk...

Well if there is enough interest I will look into it. I don't mind bulk as long as I can sell it. Just need to find out what the minimum order would have to be.

Sorry, scratch my previous post... My wife just reminded me of a family calendar we did for my grandmother through WalMart.com. They can be made individually and they're not that expensive. I think the cheaper version was around $11. I'll try to look into that tomorrow...

Yeah I started looking. I found one site that had a sale for 9.99 individually. I found another that had free software download so you can create and modify and view till you get it right then order as few as one or as many 500. if you order 20 they are about $13 and if you order 50 they are $12. Not too bad of a price and so far I prefer this site because of the custom software. I would like to be able to play around with designs before ordering instead of hoping for the best hehe. I want to see how many are interested and how much you would be willing to pay. I already got requests for March and November so if I can get 10 more that wanna send photos and more then that wiling to buy I will be all for it. I don't mind ponying up the money. I would like to do at least 20-50. I would hope to sell them to others. Maybe I will just go with 20, See how well they do and order more later or even do more for another year if it goes over well. So let me know guys.

Of course if you really wanted to try and make them cheaper we could always order the print it yourself kit. Then they could be made on a needed only basis and cost about $9.50 each.

If you want to handle that, go any route that works for you of course... I asked my wife and she said that WalMart's system lets you play w/ the pictures somewhat and you can add text, etc. Then, I think, anyone can go to their site and order one and have it sent to them, or pick it up in-store. I wouldn't be surprised if Target and Walgreens have something similar...

I will look into the walmart setup. That would be cool to set it up and create one. Then if others can just go and order then that will save money for those that want it.

Hey Eric. The calendar company I am thinking of going with can also do logos at the bottom of each page. I figure the forum logo would be cool, but they also state that the location could also be used to add sponsor logo and adverts. Maybe some of the sponsors would like there logo at the bottom of the calender. Also the plan for the calendar is that you get you decided on the cover art.

I got your PM. Will also need to know what kind of resolution you're looking for, or at least the aspect ratio that the finished image will need to be. I won't be able to decide on a format until I photo my xB about 80 times, figure out that I don't like any of them, take 80 more pics, and then like too many to choose from. Thats how I work. Oh, and is this supposed to be a car photo, car with driver photo, or a car with driver's hottest female friends in wet t-shirts photo?

Photos of just the car is more what I am looking for. Photo with driver, no. Photo with hot female would be kinda cool, but that depends on Eric. If he wants this to be more G-Rated then PG-13 thats his call. Me I am all up for a few of the months having some extra eye candy.
Thanks for posting back though. I was just curious if my PM's were going through. I also noticed that you just changed you online name. Didn't know you could do that, plus why the change?
The program doesn't really specifiy resolution. It does for size. For a single large photo program doesn't actually tell me the size. I can enlarge and shrink accordingly, just remember that enlarging can pixelate certian photos. Although there are a few that are high quality enough that they were fine after enlarging. For the three photo layout you get a 4.5" x 6" and two 9.33" x 6.98" For the sponsor logo at the bottom you get either a 4" x 1" image or a 1" x 1" image with 4 lines of text. Plus I can do inversions, black&white and other minor adjustments.
Also I mentioned that you get a caption. The caption goes below the main photo layout. I can also include text onto the photos. Say you want a watermark type thing. Maybe you have one of your photos that you want to list the mods on the photo. I can do many different things with this program.

Anyone interested? I would like to start collecting images for the calendar. If you would PM me what month you want and 1 or 3 images for the calendar. I currently plan to order 20. If you can let me know if you would want to buy one. Even if you want to buy but not have yours in the calendar I need to know. Eric I need to know what month you want. You get the cover and a month. I figure the cover can be something more representative of the website itself. Or maybe that CARS photoshop of your xb Currently the Calendar is looking like this: Cover: Eric - Image not chosen yet January: Free Feburary: Free March: Eviljack - Image not chosen yet April: Free May: Free June: Free July: Free August: Free September: Free October: Free November: Ross - Image not chosen yet December: Free
