return to main forum after post?

I wish it would not return to the main forum after you make a post - most other forums I am on return you to the thread you just posted to. It is difficult to find where you were, especially if you started from "posts since your last visit" screen, to be bounced to the main forum. Is there a setting I should toggle in preferences, or is this a BB default?

Click on "Profile" at the top, then on "Look and Layout Preferences" on the left sidebar of the subsequent page. Once there, check the box for "Return to topics after posting by default."
