January 3 of this year. Minding my own business, just backing up into a driveway, when out of NOWHERE,,,
BAM!!!!!Drunk driver hit me right where I was sitting. Cops estimated his speed at 50, I think he was going faster.
Lifted the van up off the road and spun it nearly 180 degrees, depositing us (me and the van, I was alone)
on the next door neighbor's sidewalk. The grass you see under the car is between the sidewalk and street.
It's about 8-10 feet wide. Landed me in the emergency room, first ever ambulance ride. One broken rib
was the worst of my injuries. Still a bit sore all along my torso on the left, but not so much that I cannot get
around OK. More of an ache at this point. First week was awful rough, though. Both cars were totaled.
I am so glad I was not in my xB.Our 2007 Dodge Grand Caravan.. love this car, it saved my life....
Dipwad that ran into me was driving a Chevy Cavalier. (2001, I think)
Please, if you have to drink, don't drive. The life you save may be mine.
