Yeah I know I don't really know alot of you that well, but I just gotta vent a bit.

Some of you may know that I am getting married later this year. Its been mentioned in some of my posts. Well almost everything is going smoothly and yes I know not everything is going to go smooth. However the most important item to me is looking like a possability of not happening. There is a big chance my Best Man may cancel on me. He lives down in NC and works like 2/3 jobs. He is just now finishing off his divorce papers, Already has a kid on the way with someone else and it going to marry that person soon. So he doesn't even know whats gonna be going on enough to make a commitment. I really have no clue what to do. I need to find a backup best man but how do you do that? How do you tell someone "I need you to be my best man just in case my real best friend can't make it". I really don't have alot of other firends. I usually only make friends through work because I just don't have time to do so outside of work. I do have a few guys at work I hang out with and consider somewhat friends but nothing like what a best man should be. Someone that knows you and can really do the job required of him. Its just so depressing. Its not a definate that he won't make it but I gotta find a time frame when I need a final decision from him and a back up plan just in case. This just sucks so freakin much right now.

This is one reason my cousins were in the wedding party (they had to be there). The one I chose as the best man did a great job... I still remember the opening to his toast (our wedding was outdoors in June w/ triple digit heat), "Do you know why it's so hot here? 'Cuz these two are on fire!"

Sorry to hear about the problems, but everything will work out. And even if it doesn't, you two will probably be the only ones to know. We had a lot go wrong w/ our wedding, but nobody ever knew.

I just came across it too!!!! I am sorry to hear about that. I hope something has worked out. Eric suggestion was good, maybe a close family member can step in if your best man is unable to be there. Family is pretty good about understanding things like that.

Speaking of weddings my wife and I got married on October 31 2007 in Las Vegas. I asked her when we were planning this. What is the one thing you need to happen so you don't wake up 5 years from now regretting anything. She said the wedding has to be on Halloween. I was good to go with that, as long as she married me that was fine. LOL. So we went to Vegas and stayed at the Mandalay Bay hotel and had a fabulous time. And on the last day we were there we got a huge treat for us. We were at the Luxor and  were in the Mindfreak store and you will never guess who we ran into, thats right the Mindfreak himself Criss Angel. It was a nice way to end the trip.

Sorry I rambled. I do hope this works out for you. And congratulations on the upcoming wedding. 

I think your looking into this whole thing to much. What you really should be concentrating on is marring your beautiful wife and spending the rest of your life with her. Think about that and not some over hyped best man or whose on your side ect.
