Not bad.  It's a lot more realistic than the xP concept.  I might even consider trading in my '96 Nissan pickup for something like that.

Rumored for a 2010 release, the Scion xP (for pickup):

What do you think?

DAMMMMM IT!!!!!

if it was out now, I would buy it right now!!!
Then slap some rims on it, tint out the windows, headlightss, and tail lights, and upgrade the sound system!!! Hell yeah!!!!! I've been wanting to get a truck!

I feel ya man. I would drop my xB in a heart beat for that thing. Especially in that color.

Or maybe someone could do this with the one they have?

The problem would be with structural rigidity across the bed.
The structure of the xB includes the roof for torsional rigidity.  If you just chop off the roof, the back told twist itself something awful (the same as a poorly made chop-top convertible/roadster).
To make that work, you would need to add stiffener structure to the lower monocoque (the part that makes up the truck bed).

Fast is just acceleration and top speed.
Quick is maintaining that speed in a corner, better than just fast.

Yeah, I could see where losing the c pillar with the roof connecting them could reduce stability. Still, it would be cool to see one running around.

The SSR is actually pretty cool.
It has Corvette underpinnings and a retro-pickup body.
My uncle has one and it drives like a current Corvette.

Not bad, not bad at all.

Yeah I agree with TJ. The SSR is pretty cool and fast for what it is.

Hmmm, xP is cool...I would hope that Scion would allow a trailer hitch on it!
