When you put on the rims (I'm assuming they're 19 inch?) did you have to get any professional adjustments so the speedometer and gear ratios weren't off? and how low did the springs lower it? I really want to do exactly this in the coming spring! With different rims of course

Rims are 18"x7.5 tires are 225/40-18 that put the speedo off by 0.8% slow. No no cal really needed. The Nav unit has it's own internal cal for new tires so it did it's own thing. The Springs are Tanabe DF210's 1.7in drop front, 2.2 rear. all I really has to do was tweak the headlights a little bit as the aim was affected
3  General Scion xB / 2nd Gen Scion xB Talk / Re: door locks on: October 11, 2007, 12:03:23 AM
It is in your owners manual about how to change the door locks.  I changed mine to lock when I shift from Park and will unlock all of the doors if I open the drivers door within 10 seconds of turning the engine to off. If it takes longer than 10 seconds to open my drivers door after the engine key if removed, only the drivers door unlocks and that is because I used the door handle to open the door.

Check in the manual, it is quite easy to change.

Manual?

Replace the cloth on the doors with blue. A little vynil here and there. Decide whether or not to let my wife dissect my headrests and rebuild with the aforementioned blue.  Decide on a sub and glass it's enclosure. Wait patiently for Borla to start selling the new exhaust. Lesee...spings, wheels, tires. HIDs. put the sound deadening in already and find somewhere inthere to sleep! Did I mention the intake too?
10  Misc Forums / Off Topic / Re: "set" pricing unamerican? Opinions? on: September 11, 2007, 02:49:04 PM
I fail to see how 'set pricing' is unAmerican, can you haggle for that big screen TV at Best Buy?  no. (well, you can a little on open items but that's a diffrent story) nor can you haggle your groceries. If a car manufacturer chooses a no haggle model, so be it, you notice how the poster failed to mention Saturn which has had fixed pricing since it's introduction in the 90's. My point is, if the pricing model works, so be it. I didn't have a problem with the price I paid for my xB or my xA for that matter. Accessories I shop around for the best deal on.  Let him buy his Subaru, more power to him. The truly funny part about this is, usually you see the "savvy buyer" walking into a dealership ready to "make a deal or walk" sure, they give him the price he wants, and jack him on his trade. I'm sure he'll be on another forum complaining about the dealership 'screwing' him out of floor mats or something.

hmm...spend the money and tint the hell out of the back window?  rofl

or try this instead. http://www.trdsparks.com/displayparts.php?Mdl_dtl=570&Part_cat=25&parts_id=1612

or just look at the instructions for it and see how to run the wiring properly  http://www.trdsparks.com/install/00016-79800inst.pdf
while these are for a diffrent mirror, it shows you 1. how to run the wiring avoiding the srs, how to deal with that pesky a-pillar and where to tap +12 ignition

They're good people to work with, fast replies to emailed questions as well. (yes I know they have a phone but it's a little awkward asking questions about intakes when your boss is standing over you)

14  Technical & Styling / Interior Mods / Re: Overhead storage? on: September 10, 2007, 12:55:54 PM
I can't find mine or I'd just pdf them. But they are quite straight forward. The cutting is even done in stages so that you can relocate wiring in the headliner. That and the price from trdsparks is really good.

I just got my fingertips under the back end of it and pulled (genlty, it'll pop out)
