Wave Rider. Since microfiber towels have small hooks in the threat ends like Velcro, I am concerned that using one to wash the car would hold the dirt in the towel more than a regular type wash cloth would causing scratching. I read that the reason microfiber towels clean better is because it has 90k thread ends per inch (something like that) with a special end cut to grab the dirt and hold it.
Have you noticed if your wash towel looked dirtier after you get done washing your car than the regular rag was?
Thanks

I have used the Absorber for many years, but I switched to a microfiber towel for the xB and like it much more. Just have to watch if the microfiber has a tag or stitching that will scratch. I wash the microfiber towel after each use just in case it picked up some dirt I missed while washing.

The bottom line is, people are wired differently. My wife twists the bread tie counter clockwise to close and clockwise to open. What? Rightie tightie, lefty loosee. Some people will never catch on and this system will not suit them. I love where the clusters are, easiest to see, not blocked by the steering wheel.
The reverse light is a design flaw!
I watch the road while driving and never look at my passengers to talk to them, they have ears and can hear what I say just as well as if I look at them.
I was rear ended last week by a woman playing texting, her response when she hit me..... I'm going to be late for my dentist appointment! Think so?

I would guess that they used the old fashioned screw driver to break the ignition lock. I see those guys on TV using a screw driver to steal a car faster than a person with the key!
I hope he has a safe place to keep his xb when he gets it repaired or the same people might take advantage of him again.

Keep in mind that driving a stick shift car requires a person to remove one hand from the steering wheel to shift. If driving down a dark, narrow twisty mountain road while it is raining and the need arises for you to down/up shift while blowing the horn and making an avoidance maneuver, you are screwed since you will need 3 hands!
Don't forget that a stick shift has a wear item called the clutch! If you are going to drive with some spirit the clutch will require a replacement sooner than later. What is the dealer cost for a new clutch? Most of us would never tackle that task ourselves. So, the automatic cost more upfront, but the stick shift has a cost down the road.
I would only drive a stick if the car had enough power to make it worth while and the xB isn't there in my opinion.
If you like to shift go for it, me, I'll enjoy the smoothness of letting the car do the work.

Yodar.
I have to ask, how thick are the soles on your shoes? It may sound silly but with thick soles shoes/boots on it is harder to judge how much pressure you are applying to the pedal since you are having problems with all three pedals.
You should take another xB for a ride and compare the shifting, I believe it isn't normal to have that many clunks going on.
Good luck.

If you wash your car once a week and keep it waxed I think that you should go with BSP as your first choice. Vanilla is vanilla if that's what you want. As stated before, white is a good choice if you want to put stickers all over it.
