I just got this email from Scion. The email said this:

The event and shoot will take place on May 16 & May 17 at a secret location in the Nevada desert. Accommodations are complimentary. It’ll be unreal. I just thought i'd share this cuz it'll be crazy to see one of us to be up on a billboard of something!!!

I actually have a photo shoot schedualed on saturday for registering for this. What it means, Ross, is that if they choose your scion and you live on the east coast like us. They are not going to pay you gas or mileage for driving to Nevada. They are however giving you a place to stay, food and entertainment during the two days they use your scion for the commercial stuff.

36hr drive one way for me. Still gonna do it if I get choosen.

Cool I won't be the only newsiconxb.com to go. However I still need to find a co-driver. Mine backed out on me. If I don't get one I can't go. Oh yeah and Eric. I need a written permission form to the newscionxb.com decal on my windows. Its standard procedure for any and every decal on my ride that promotes someone else.

how far are you people driving? any idea just how great the entertainment will be? i got selected to go also. wish i had a better idea of what the "surprise" entertainment is. . . could make or break my decision to go...

Let me put it this way. The reason the entertainment is a "surprise" is because they don't want it getting out to the media and having fans of the whoever it is performing finding out about it and trying to crash the party. We are staying in the Lowes Lake Las Vegas resort. They are giving us $20 for detailing the car so its clean when we drop it off. They are giving both me and Bob a pre-loaded card worth $70 to accomidate three meals. One meal will be taken care of while at the event saturday night. There are going to be product demonstrations, maybe even new products not seen yet. There will be product giveaways, maybe I get lucky and get a supercharger. There is going to be a bunch of activites. Its going to be awsome. Plus friday night and most of saturday morning is ours to do as we please. Yeah its gonna rock. If you count the food, money for detailing, and hotels. I am already getting at least half my money back I spend in gas. Plus there will be a ton of swag. I haven't gotten my packet yet but I head there is stuff in there, including dogtags. Not sure if bob gets a one but I know I do. Plus I know we each get at least one t-shirt for the event. That doesn't even include the fact my car will be seen on tv, or in a magazine, or poster, or maybe even a billboard. Its gonna be so cool. In fact i will be heading over to bobs house about this time next week.

how many people from new scion xb forum are going? is it just us three? or am i blind and didnt see other post or something...? gee you have a long drive!!!! i am just in so cal. not too bad! however, i may be driving to detroit in a week or two. i dont know... by the way you guys are at a different hotel, i am at Green Valley Ranch Resort . i bet you a lot of people sent in the pic and form and backed out.. due to the drive??
