hi all, I just installed my hotchkis swaybars and lowering springs today and I'm just wondering if I still need to get the suspension aligned even though it seems like the wheels are still straight.

As the front suspension changed camber angles (and the sway install MAY have altered the alignment somewhat-> not looked at that install in depth), . . .
I would definitely get a new alignment.  While the wheels may be straight front to back, the tires may be sitting at an odd angle and riding uneven side-to-side on the tire patch itself.


After the alignment, I would LOVE to hear reports of ride difference, esp. handling on twisty roads.

thanks for the info, I'll let the springs settle for about a week then get it aligned. I'll let u know the results. thanks again.

With just sway bars you wouldn't need to get it realligned. With springs yes I would get it alligned, but you are also smart to let them settle a bit. If its only a small change in height its not gonna be a big issue. If it was a huge drop I would reallign, let it settle and then reallign again.

Finally got it aligned!!!!

I noticed a lot less roll from the body, the stiffness is perfect for me and the drop is awesome. I just need to keep reminding myself that my ride is dropped now cuz I already scraped under the front bumper, my exhaust tip and somewhere underneath the car from a speed bump. Lowered 1.25 front and 1.75 rear according to manufacturer specs, looks and feels lower than what I thought it would be. Now all I need is a set of kicks to complete my handling mods.

I'm thinking of ordering the Hotchkiss Sways with the TRD Springs (don't want to be as low as the Hotchkiss). I hope the set-up is what I'm looking for.
