Intake Help!!
«
on:

Hi guys this is my first post and I need some help. I've been looking over the forum for a while now and am still confused as to which intake I should get. I live high in the Rocky Mountains so I don't have a lot of air for my motor to start with. What's going to help me the most for getting over 10,000ft mountain passes?
Also I love the look of the Borla duel. Anyone know about the performance benefits?

I used to live in CO and drove over Trail Ridge road without any problem, but not in a 4 banger. I would just look for the intake with the highest flow rate. Generally in high altitude you
need
lower octane rated gas but you might
try
higher octane to see if it improves performance. Also getting the highest flow rate intake may help.

HA! I'll be driving Trail Ridge tomorrow!
So maybe a ram intake instead of a cold air. The question then is who has the highest flow intake??

You can check the dyno's on the Fujita Intake here. I'm not sure how that will work at the higher altitude. The Exhaust is excellent at lower altitudes and should be fine where you are.
