Intake Questions

Hey all, I'm doing a little fishing here. Has anyone put an intake on yet? If so what brand, short ram or long, etc, etc. I don't think the Cold Air (long ram) will make much difference except for high end so any feedback would be greatly appreciated..

K&N Typhoon. Just installed it love it. On mild acceleration and during cruising speeds you can barely tell a difference. When you really give it the gas though it roars to life. Easy to install and looks great. Also gives 9hp increase at 6000 rpms.
Here is a photo.

In my opinion, the Weapon-R Secret Weapon short ram intake takes the cake. That's partially because I have one, and partially because in a lot of reviews I've read, the Weapon-R filter rates really really high. Also, it comes with a ram-air kit with it (a hose you can attach to the front of the intake, basically) which you could route behind your fender to get cold air, or to the front of your vehicle to force more air in at high speeds. It's pretty versatile. Plus, the Secret Weapon piping is supposed to help out performance-wise, but don't know enough about intakes to tell you whether its all hype or not. Last but not least, it's relatively inexpensive compared to many of the intakes out there. Check my thread to see what it looks like and how install goes:

I had the WR Secret Weapon on my tC... You could definitely tell at higher RPMs, but actually seemed to lag more at lower RPMs. IMO, I/H/E is just for aesthetics anyway... Would I consider it again? Would I consider any short ram again? Maybe if I routed a tube down to the grill... and I'd have to get a good deal.

I have a Fujita intake, that mofo roars hella loud when you mash it! I can definitely feel a little bit of gain along with my Strup header and catback. If only I could get rid of the S-pipe and that scuba tank and then tune it a bit, I'd say you can reach 150whp N/A easy.
