The TRD CAI will add noise, but only when you are on it.  If you drive like a sane person (Huh?) it shouldn't be too bad.

Same for the Fujita CAI the cabin noise is no greater except when under "moderate to hard" acceleration.  Once up to speed I can't sense any additional noise...keep in mind that the intake is lower, thus farther from the cabin than stock which, even with the increased air flow, nagates the noise.   The same can not be said for a "short" CAI system.

Brewski

Ok thanks. At least it isn't a constant sound like an ehxaust upgrade... That's what bugs me yucky. So once you get up to 40 in the city or 60 - 70 on the highway it isn't really louder than stock? I have a feeling over the next several years I will be driving on the highway a lot, and don't want a long, noisy drive.

I just had my Magnaflow cat back exhaust put on and it isn't nosiy at all--maybe a little deeper throaty sound but hardly able to notice from inside the car.
I'd like to get a CAI now and I like the looks of the TRD but I would also like to add those new LED lights that replace those fake side vents on the bumper--does the TRD cause a problem for this? (I have OEM fog lights in the lower grill). If the TRD is a problem with the lights what CAI do you guys recommend?

The TRD CAI will not work with the vent lights you want.  I have the TRD CAI so I'm sure someone will be along to give you some other options.

Thanks for the info--now I have to contemplate how much I want the lights because the TRD is the best, or, get the lights and get a better CAI.  The short AI is not an option because I don't have a hood scoop with cold air coming in... guess I could go that route too, but I really don't want the SRI noise. Decisions, decisions, decisions....

To those who have installed theirs, can you take a picture of your hoses? I did something wrong, and none of my are plugged in to anything, and it's making my RPMs (as stated above) drop really low, between 500 and 600.

My camera isn't good enough to take the photos you need, but the instructions should be more than adequate to get the job done.

If I took a picture of mine, could you guide me on how to fix it? I looked in the instructions, but I couldn't figure it out.

Post up the pics.  I'm sure somebody here can help.  I'm just surprised that the instructions didn't help.

Well I think I have a solution... I came across some carbon fiber LED fog lights that go in the bumper vents and another guy used them with the TRD CAI. Said he only need to trip the top of the TRD intake vent to make both work. Of course the fogs are more than twice the other vent lights but more powerful too. Still contemplating...

They are a sponsor here too . . .
And great guys from what I've heard.  I'm thinking of ordering my exhaust from them.
