Here is a pic of the baby moons I ordered for the winter-wheel-stock-steelie configuration.  A little bigger than I'd like, but they fit the budget requirements for this project.  I'm going to try to install them with some modified spring clips from an old VW Beetle.  If that doesn't work we'll try the silicon technique.

I was just going to paint them red and noticed that the m&m shaped tin had about the same profile.
So, I got a local guy to make me some "m" stickers (he made them twice as large as I asked and wanted  confused   Sad ).  But I just thought it would be funny.

I am thinking of taking the other set of caps I bought and make some mini-Coca-Cola round dot signs . . .
(Black bottle, white script on red)
Also about the same shape.

Straight out "engine paint" . . .
(I didn't bother to primer.   I should have, probably, but I'm not worried about that.)

Why?
I figured engine paint should handle any heat put off by the calipers and disc brakes.
I also COULD have used wheel paint . . .
They didn't have a color in stock I liked and I wanted to get these done.
I wonder how hot they get . . .  Huh? (remember-> most center caps and wheel covers are plastics)

So far, it has held up just fine.
Anyways, as there is an RTV glue layer between the cap and rim itself, so it shouldn't be over the heat rating of the engine paint.
