i have always used Miata's tire calculator for comparing tire sizes - i just came across this one that is full of spec info and a great visual for comparing tires:

this is a Great wheel size comparator!!  gives lots of detail and specs!!  Cheesy

you can compare up to 4 wheel sizes at once, view wheels sizes that will fit and has nice side by side comparison of  other stats!

Thats a nice program but doesn't take into consideration rim size at all.

i am not sure what you mean eviljack - it gives you the available range of rim width sizes that fit each tire being compared.

Ok sorry I will clarify a bit. It asks you to pick TIRE sizes and comare them. Then gives you the info about the tire and the potential rim widths and such.

The issue I have with it is your comparing your tire and seeing what rim sizes work with it. Kinda backwards for my taste. I like to pick my rims that will work on my vehical and then find out what tire sizes work.

i have been looking to enlarge the tire size on whatever rim i might get to fill the wheel well a little more without having to drop it.   yes
